Virtually every league came to a stop as a result of the pandemic, both female and male categories, and since the cease of activities the federations and leagues administration have been working towards the return of activities in the best scenarios or declaring the competition void or declaring a champion even though it wouldn´t be a complete league. Thankfully for the us the fans most of the leagues are headed to a return in mid-July with France and Germany being the exceptions since the first country declared a champion, Europe spots, and relegations and the Germans will restart their league this weekend. As its stated above most leagues are trying to achieve the goal finishing the competition and have set themselves a time table with the first step being testing the players to see how many have been infected and basing their strategy of starting again with that information. Next Saturday will be marked by the return to activity of one of the big leagues of Europe, the Bundesliga will restart the competition after one month of inactivity due to the COVID-19 outbreak. And it´s return is marked by one of the biggest derbies in the competition Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04 will battle it out in a match that will be perpetuated in history because of the context on which it´ll develop. Champions League continues...in August?

While countries around the world keep on working to flatten the curve of the current pandemia, us football fans receive a little sppon of hope to see the top competitions being continued. Of course the competition most desired to comeback is the UEFA Champions League, but how long are we willing to wait? In the french media RTL the president of Olympique de Lyon, Jean-Michel Aulas talk about the arrangement for Champions League 2019-2020 season to be continued on August 7th. He stated: "The game against Juventus is confirmed for the 7th of August, in Turin, behind close doors". Ligue 1 has already come to the decision of ending the 2019-2020 season, and named PSG as the champions of the season. On the other hand Serie A is closer every day to continue the current season returning rythym to the Italian clubs towards the resume of the Champions League. Magyar football of the first ones to come back

Great news for the hungarian football fans and any kind of football fans out there. The MLSz, the football federation from were Puskas was born, has taken the decision of resuming football activities in the Liga OTP Bank, Hungary's top division, as well as in the Cup competition on saturday May 23 and Wednesday 27. Second division and Third division will be concluded and promotions and relegations will be decided based on the last matchday played leaguetable. All this matches will be resumed under restrictions as they will be played behind close doors to public. In the Magyar Kupa, matches to be played will be the clash between two Budapest based clubs, MTK Budapest and Budapest Honved. This after they overpass in Quarterfinals to Dorogi FC and Paksi FC respectively. In the other side of the bracket we have Mezőkövesd Zsóry vs MOL Fehervar, the current title holders.
